Don't stop, keep going is the way, regardless of whatever you do. You can accomplish objectives in motion but while stopping you loose whatever you already have. Our society is the society of misperceptions. Our own imaginations and weaknesses are the standards. We basically are our own driven decision makers and we break the pledges if we see it difficult to comply by. Reasons, reasons & reasons to avoid what we said or commit is our habit. This makes our society lesser credible and more risky.

If you see civilizations that ruled the world from ancient Greece to Islamic state of Madina, the key attributes of people were determination and compliance of their commitments. The myth of our disaster is breach of commitments & lack in determination. They never care their loss or interest once they bind a commitment. The commitment once made has to be fulfilled was the call. But today we think about it after making commitment and then if we see it not so well so we feel comfortable while breaking it. We are lacking in the concept of determination. This determination is the one that converts the scene of failure to the scenario of success.

I have been listening a lot from people that if you see some thing better than what you have committed you can break your promise. This is the real misconception or the way to give hide to our own weaknesses. The ruling is on swore or any promise that itself is void but once the promise is being made by us, we can not be break it. Just I remember the Hadith of Prophet S.A.W. i.e.

“According to Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) said: “The signs of the hypocrite are three: When he speaks he lies, when he promises he does not fulfill it, and when he is entrusted with something he is treacherous.” Below are the two examples of Prophet S.A.W.’s compliance of promises;

  1. Abu Rafey, a slave, once came to Medinah as an ambassador of the Quraysh. When he saw the Prophet (peace be upon him), the truth of Islam dawned on him and he said, "O Messenger of Allah! I shall never go back to the unbelievers." The Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "I can neither breach the contract, nor keep the ambassadors with me. If you feel the same way when you go there, you can come back." He went back and embraced Islam.

  2. In the treaty of Hudaibiyah, one of the conditions was that if any Muslim went to Medinah from Makkah, he would be returned on demand. When the Treaty was being written, Abu Jandal escaped from the prison of the Makkans in chains. All the Muslims were shocked to see him in this condition, but the Noble Prophetsaid to him, "O Abu Jandal! Be patient, we cannot break the promise. Allah will very soon find a way for you." He was returned to the people of Makkah. Two companions of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him), Hazifa bin al-Yaman and Abu Husail, while coming from Makkah, were caught by the unbelievers. The Makkans insisted that they should not go to Muhammed (peace be upon him) but the two companions refused. At last they were released on the condition that they would not participate in the battle (of Badr) on behalf of the Muslims. They came to the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) and told him the whole story. It was a severe test of their truthfulness. The Muslims were very few and needed more men to fight against the unbelievers. The addition of two men would have made a lot of difference to them, but the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Both of you must go back; we will keep the promise under all circumstances. We need only the help of Allah."

Now I am really surprised when I see people saying you can break promise for betterment and when it is not good for your people. Actually this is the index of our own tailor made ISLAM that specifically, people in South Asia have established to support their family system and culture. There are labs across the globe that are tailoring fake HADITHS to give way to MIDDLE WAYS in ISLAM that are actually not present. Islam is an exact choice of YES or NO. If I am doing some thing wrong so I have to accept it rather than saying it RIGHT in any context. There is no precedent or Hadith in the world that is acceptable against the words of Quran and it is not possible that you can find one saying of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. & His S.A.W. act that is against Quran, so this is all the standard of learning Islam & Prophet S.A.W.’s way, the rest is the tailor made addition in ISLAM by different labs across the globes and our own culture.

I have not been a good practicing Muslim, I confess that I have a list of sins intact in my life but I have never been far from the concepts of Islam. I try to study and confess my mistakes rather than legalizing my doing by logics that I can present easily. This is the determination and my hope that one day I can convert exactly to the way that my Prophet S.A.W. determines for me. My God is not Society, the World, my Parent, Wealth, Culture, Clan or anything but Allah; who is the sole authority on principles that governs our life. A commitment for me is unbreakable and necessary to comply by rather than finding a way in the middle.

See our rulers, see our elite, they are not good in keeping promises and we cry. I ask why? It is the reflection of the general attitude of not keeping the promises by giving reasons. So what we can expect from our rulers who are actually the sentence of our own crimes and attitudes. We have to think and change as a nation if we want our leadership to be equipped by the traits that we think necessary. All these traits have to be there in people first then it will be in reflection in our rulers. No one can make it in rulers first and then in people.

Keep promises; be determine on good deeds, face atrocities but never fold down before oppression is the call of time for Muslims and all the people of the world. The light is there but we are keeping ourselves in darkness just to please our modern idols. If we will start doing it then again we shall be in revival in social values and business. The days when Muslims were on top of their promises, the whole world wanted to trade with them even many times they avoided good returns just by seeing that they can do fair business while dealing with Muslims. See our today and understand what we have lost by thinking promises inferior and leaving our determination.
